Hi I'm Adella

I'm a fun-loving, social, soon-to-be mother. I rode my bike across America to encourage others to donate blood. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and soon-to-be mother. I married my high school sweet heart two years ago and am now entering a new stage of my life. My husband's schooling has taken us from California all the way to New York, away from family and friends. This change has been difficult, especially with the sickness and discomforts of pregnancy, but I am finding ways to remain positive and optimistic. As my husband studies intently for medical school, I work full-time at a daycare. When I am not working, I enjoy cooking, scrap-booking, working on my family history, decorating, reading, and watching my favorite movies and shows. When my husband has the time, we also enjoy being outdoors and staying active. We like to go on walks and hikes, ride our bicycles, and play ping-pong and Frisbee. In addition, I can't help dancing and singing throughout the day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have searched the scriptures and found comfort to know that Heavenly Father still gives us a prophet and apostles today that encourage us and guide us. I am a Mormon because I find happiness in knowing that my family will live together forever. This life is not the end, and that we will live with our family and Heavenly Father again. I am a Mormon because I have felt the Holy Ghost confirm my thoughts and heart allowing me to know, I am never alone and that my Savior has suffered every pain I have and will endure in my life. I am a Mormon because I have chosen to pray and ask for the truth and be guided to ask questions and to seek for answers. My answers have led me to know that I am a daughter of God and that my Father in Heaven loves me.

How I live my faith

Service is a big part of my life. I find that it is important to show your love for others when you lend a helping hand, or heart. My father and I road our bicycles from California to Maine in 2010 to raise awareness of giving blood and how it saves lives. I was given the opportunity to meet many people from all sorts of backgrounds. I was able to see their passion to be a good person, and as I shared with them my love for my Heavenly Father, they shared with me their love for him. I live my faith by striving to be my best self. I am constantly making goals to stay positive and to never be shy when it comes to sharing what I believe. I served a mission, dedicating myself to the Lord's work and helping others find peace and happiness through prayer, through friendships, and through the Holy Ghost.

Are Mormons Christians?

I can tell you that I am a Christian. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. To be Christian, is to believe in Christ. I believe in Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is my brother, we are both children of God. He was sent as a leader and savior, that we may follow in his footsteps. He led the path, that we may follow and have him be our light when everything feels dark. Show more Show less
