Hi I'm Lori

I proud to be an American. I have traveled many places in the world but nothing compares with the USA.

About Me

I am retired. I was a say at home mom until all my children were in school. I worked at various jobs but wasn't happy with most of them because I couldn't be home when my children got home. Then I got a job as a teacher assistant. I loved working with children. Helping them to read and prepare for life. I did this until I retired. I knew that my first "job" was to be a mom and this fit the bill for me. I love to do crafty things and be with my family in what ever they are doing.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I would like to share with you my I belief that Jesus Christ is my Savior and my Redeemer. The Bible tells of His ministry and the many miracles He performed. I believe those words in the Bible but that it not all, I have another book that also testifies of Jesus Christ. It it called The Book of Mormon. I have read this book many times and I know of its truthfulness. I know that you can know of its truthfulness too if you will read it and then ask God if it is true. he will give that assurance that it is true. This book along with the Bible testify of Jesus Christ. That He is the Son of God and that He died for each of us so we can over come the grave and take our sins away if we will but repent of them. Jesus Christ is my friend and my advocate with the Father on my behalf. I know these things are true. I have received a witness from the Holy Spirit that they are true.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all my life. I can't remember a time when I didn't know the Gospel was true. I was always active in my church responsibilities and when I was 21 my Bishop asked me if I would like to go on a mission for the Church. I told him I would but when my call came my mother didn't want me to go because I had been called to South Africa. I had to make an important decision that would effect me the rest of my life. Go against my mother or to accept her wishes. My decision was to serve The Lord and that is what I have tried to do for the rest of my life. I love The Lord and will do whatever He asks of me. It is not always easy to keep the faith but I know in my heart that it is worth it. Through out my life I have had opportunities to serve the women and the young women of the Church. It has richly blessed my life to see their growth and development.
