Hi I'm Jericho

I love awkward moments. I grew up in Hawai'i. I'm a Mormon

About Me

1. I am a poor college student, living in the moment. 2. Laughing is pretty much my remedy for everything. 3. I breathe volleyball. 4. I love to people-watch. 5. Sometimes I like to think that I know what I'm talking about. 6. I love wearing slippers (also known as flip flops in other states) 7. Mangoes, mangoes, mangoes. 8. I had the opportunity to share my love of the gospel by serving a 2-year mission in San Pablo, Philippines. 9. I love loving people for who they are. 10. Making people smile is always my number one priority.

Why I am a Mormon

To be honest, words can't describe the blessings and joy of being a member of HIs church has been to me and my family. Just knowing that I will be with my family who loves me now for time and eternity is something that I am grateful for every single day of my life. I grew up like every other teenager in society. High school was culmination of emotional and physical roller-coaster rides. There were times when peer pressure was really hard in my life and conforming to certain norms was the "cool" thing to do. For a while I thought that I was really happy, seeing that I had been part of a group who I thought had respected me and cared for me and my well-being. Then a lot of unfortunate events had happened in my life that have made me realize that life isn't just something you can take for granted. It was then I realized that there had to be a greater meaning in life, an eternal purpose. With the love and support of my family, I finally saw the light that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings to people who share similar experiences with me. To solidify my faith in Him even more, I decided to serve a full-time mission and share His love to the people in the Philippines. Because of that, I have seen firsthand how God's love is unconditional and eternal for every single person on this earth. I know that this church holds the keys that enables families to be together forever. I can't wait to stand before my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ and thank him for the blessings that they have given me. But I know I can feel of their love right now in my life through constant and sincere daily prayer, studying His word in the Book of Mormon, and making eternal promises to Him through the sacrament on Sundays. I love this church, I love the people, I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One of the privileges I have in the church is to gather fellow college students who are far from home and hold an activity where we can feel of our love and friendship. I pretty much regard them as my family, and so we call our activities family home evening (FHE) activities because they are basically my brothers and sisters. When I'm not doing that, I love love love to serve people in any way that I can. I think of strengthening my faith to exercising daily. In order for me to help my faith grow, I find joy in seeing how God's hand is apparent in the lives of many who I continue to serve.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?
