Hi I'm Carissa Belle Harward

I love to dance, listen to music, and spend time with my family. I'm a mormon. :)

About Me

I'm a child of God, just like you! I have 3 biological siblings and 4 step siblings, 5 brothers and 2 sisters all together. I have been called to serve in the San Jose California Spanish Speaking Mission, I report to the MTC in Mexico City on July 9th . I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a current Sunday school teacher here at the Young Single Adults branch in Texas. I'm currently attending College, and after my mission I will continue with school. I have many hobbies including photography, dance, DIY crafts, and cooking!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know it's the truth. I have had the spirit testify to me on many occasions. I know that Jesus Christ is our savior, he atoned for our sins. He suffered in the garden of Gethsemane for you and me, so that we may one day return to our father in heaven. He was tortured and nailed to a cross, yet still looked up to the heavens crying "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." When the time came for the gospel to be restored upon the earth, He and the father appeared to Joseph Smith, a 15 year old boy and revealed unto him the truth. Joseph Smith suffered much persecution from unbelievers, he was tarred and feathered because of his beliefs. He laid down his life to see that the Lords work be done. My ancestors came across the planes in the most horrific of weather conditions, to come to Zion. They gave up everything they had just to follow Jesus Christ, That in itself is a testimony of the truth. I know in these latter days it's easy to forget, and get caught up in the ways of the world. We need to remember the sacrifices our brave ancestors made for us, and for this gospel. The time is NOW to act upon repentance, to seek forgiveness and to follow the path of righteousness to eternal life. I just know that through small and simple things, great things come to pass. I know this church is true and I wouldn't trade my knowledge of God's love for me for anything. I'm excited to serve the people on San Jose, and after, prepare for eternal marriage!

How I live my faith

I attend my young single adults church meetings on Sundays where I am blessed to teach a class. I participate in activities such as family home evening every Sunday where we come together and learn more about our loving heavenly father, and what we can do to strengthen ourselves and others. I treat my family members with love and respect because of my sure knowledge that they are divine gifts to me from God, who have been selected to endure this journey along side me to learn and grow. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is more than just going to church on Sundays and attending activities throughout the week. We live our faith day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. It's not always easy, and at times we all fall... but with the testimony I have of the living Christ, and knowing that he has a perfect plan for me, I am able to rise again and remember my worth as a daughter of a King.
