Hi I'm Barbara

I was born on Long Island, NY, raised in rural eastern, PA, baptized in Alaska. Lived in New Hampshire & Colorado.

About Me

I taught Jr. High Home Economics. I have love of Genealogy! Other hobbies are grandchildren, family, reading uplifting books, knitting, crocheting, gardening (practicing with winter garden), traveling with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ. I know He is my Savior, as well as my older brother. Early teachings in Protestant church lessons were merely a foundation for me. I had attended Sunday School and church, vacation Bible School, even teaching Bible School as a teen. When I heard the Missionary discussions, with their teachings and explanations, it felt like a light went on! My heart soared as truths of the gospel were taught to me. My first testimony of the Gospel centered around being fellowshipped as I investigated the church. It was amazing to me how many people were truly interested in me, and the welfare of my family. I know I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father. He knows me, He knows my happiness and my sorrows. This gospel is my staff, the Lord truly is my Light, and I sincerely desire to center my life in Him. My family is my greatest joy here on earth. It is a wonderful blessing to know that we can live together in the eternities, after leaving this earth life, and moving on. I am so very blessed and grateful to have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. It does not mean that difficult things do not happen. What it does mean is that, by living the Gospel, obeying the commandments, and turning to the Lord, there is peace of heart and mind to be found. We need never be alone when we are facing difficulties. He lives!

How I live my faith

I have taught youth classes in the past, and lots of children's classes at church. Now I visit teach 3 awesome ladies, and am a Family History Consultant. I love the stories and histories of my ancestors!
