Hi I'm Natalie

I grew up in Sandy, Utah. I play professional soccer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student graduating in Dietetics and Exercise Science in December. I've loved the college experience and have met my best friends while up here. Academics have always been a huge priority in my life and I have loved being able to further my education at college. My family is one of the most important things to me, along with my friends. I love people and creating true and lasting relationships. I absolutely love soccer. I've watched and played soccer my entire life, and it is a huge part of who I am today. Some of the greatest lessons I've learned have been on the soccer field through coaches and teammates. My teammates, no matter what team it was, have easily become my second family and I would still do anything for them. I had the opportunity to go play as a reserve for a brand new women's professional team and league this last summer in Kansas City, Missouri, and I absolutely loved it! It was quite the experience and adventure, but I met some amazing people and learned a lot about myself. I love to read, listen to music, watch movies, play all kinds of sports and just be outside, and spend time with family and friends as much as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

Luckily for me, I was raised in the Church, but I made the decision early on in my life that this was the Church that I wanted to be a part of for the rest of my life. Throughout my life I have had so many experiences that have solidified my testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. I know without a doubt that this is the true Church. Joseph Smith was and is a true prophet who was chosen by the Lord to restore the Church on this earth again, and to translate the Book of Mormon. This Book is the most correct book on earth, and it has literally changed my life. I always feel the Spirit whenever I read it and there are so many incredible examples that I look up to within its pages. The accounts and lessons within it are amazing, and I learn so much every time I read it by applying it to my life. I am so grateful that we have modern day prophets here on the earth today, and I know Thomas S. Monson is a chosen, inspired, and amazing man of God who leads and guides us today. I am so grateful for all the leaders of our church and their examples to me of how I should live my own life. I know the power of prayer is real, I have felt it in my own life countless times, and I see prayers answered every single day of my life. I know the power of the priesthood is real, and I don't know what I would do without it. I am so grateful that families can be together forever and that is something that I strive for, each and every day of my life. I know that my Savior came down on this earth to sacrifice for each one of us, and I am eternally grateful for that sacrifice. He went through more than I can comprehend so that each of us will have the opportunity to live with Him and our Father again. He knows me and knows my life, and He is always there for me, no matter what is going on in my life. I am so grateful for this gospel, it is my source of hope, peace, and happiness, and I know it has changed my life forever, and it will continue to do so. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

One of the biggest ways that I participate in my community is by going to the temple. Temples are beautiful houses of the Lord and are so full of God's love and spirit. Doing service by performing sacred ordinances for ourselves, and then for those who have passed on is an amazing way to become closer to God. I love doing service for other people and jump at any opportunity that I can. I look out for others in my ward and community and try to make sure that everyone has a friend and someone to sit with.
