Hi I'm Brad

I am a singer/songwriter and engineer from southern Idaho. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a loving husband and father of 5 children living on the east coast. I am a systems and software engineer who loves music. I have been singing publicly since the age of 5 and I love acappella music. I sang in acappella groups in high school, college and even sang in a professional group for several years before beginning my engineering career. In addition to family, work, and church service, I enjoy writing and arranging musical works and I have written the musical score for 2 religious musicals. The greatest joy in my life comes from my family and my faith. As my children have gotten older I have especially enjoyed performing music as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

My faith in Jesus Christ and in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints grew steadily throughout my childhood but it was not until I served a 2 year mission for the Church in a foreign country that my faith solidified into a spiritual rock. One of the best ways to learn the Gospel is to teach it to others. I found a joy and happiness that I did not think was possible through my service as a missionary. I love the word of God as found in the Holy scriptures and particularly in the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true record brought forth by the hand of God for us in our day. I have found no greater testament of the divinity of Jesus Christ nor a more powerful tool for spiritual protection for me and my family in the world today than the Book of Mormon. It is one of my greatest possessions. In addition to sacred records from civilizations past, we also have a prophet on the earth today. The Church is organized exactly as Christ organized His church in ancient times with a prophet and 12 apostles. I am so blessed to be able to hear them teach us the things that God would have us know in our day and our time. The further and further our society strays from the teachings of Christ, the more and more I am grateful for a wise and loving Heavenly Father who loves us enough to provide truth and clear guidance that helps us avoid the pitfalls and dangers of our day. I have found true happiness and peace as I have followed their counsel which in turn has brought me closer to my savior Jesus Christ. I have found no greater place to raise my children in the Lord than within the safety of this Church. Since my family is so important to me, I love the emphasis and focus that the Church places on family and marriage. Through sacred ordinances in Holy Temples, I know that I can be with my family and my wife for eternity and not just until I die. That is why I am a Mormon. I love the Lord and this Church with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I strive each day to follow the example of my Savior Jesus Christ by living His teachings and serving others. I currently serve as the First Counselor (or assistant) to the Bishop (or Pastor) of our local congregation. I help oversee numerous organizations in the congregation including children and youth. Serving others helps me to develop Christlike love for them. It brings a peace and joy that cannot come in any other way. I also serve because I am so grateful for all that God has blessed me with and I want others to have those same blessings of peace and happiness. In a world of ever declining morals and values it is more important than ever to stand for truth and righteousness. I believe that true faith motivates a person to action.
