Hi I'm Amy Woodward

I grew up in Utah. I'm married to my best friend and have three amazing kids. I love being a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

We have two amazing biological sons and when I was 28 and my husband was 30, we found out my husband had leukemia. He had a bone marrow transplant and is doing well, but we were unable to have more biological children, so we adopted our little princess. That was 13 years ago. My oldest son is home from his mission and our second son is serving in New York now. I love my family more than anything, we love to go on family trips and love to go camping in the mountains. I love to read and it seems like I always have my nose in a book. Now that my children are older, I work at our local elementary school two days a week..that job came after I was the PTA President. I love the kids, something funny happens every day when you work with kids. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father lives and loves each of us. I remember when we were going through my husbands illness and fertility problems, and I would be so discouraged, but I always knew that Heavenly Father was aware of me and my trials. I knew that he had a plan for me and it may not be what I had planned, but I have come to learn that what ever happens, He is in charge. I love going to church every week and renewing my covenants. I love listening to our latter day prophet. What a blessing to know that we have a prophet on the earth today. I am so grateful for temples..my husband and I were married in the temple, so our boys were sealed to us, but when we adopted our daughter, we had the opportunity to take her to the temple to be sealed as a family and my heart was so full of joy, knowing that she can be ours forever! I don't know where I would be without the gospel in my life. I know that Jesus died for me and I will stand as a witness of Him. I have been so blessed to be a member of His church and I will always cherish my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday. I have had a missionary out for 4 years. When I oldest son came home, our next son left 28 days later. I feel that it is a blessing in our lives and as much as I miss my boys, I will miss not having a missionary out. I feel like I am more aware of missionary service and always try to be a good example to others and my family. I love writing my son and hearing about his experiences. I know that missionaries are blessed with a deep love for people that they teach. In my calling, I have the opportunity to serve the sisters in our ward. I love getting to know the wonderful sisters and I feel so blessed by them all. I know that when hard times and trials come into our lives, we have such an amazing support group. I know that we all want the best for each other and Heavenly Father blesses us when we ask.
