Hi I'm Spencer

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and as such believe in Christ as my Savior and redeemer.

About Me

I'm a student studying molecular biology. My favorite hobbies include snowboarding, sailing, precision shooting, mountain biking, dancing (favorite is still the cha-cha), and I always love trying new foods as well as learning to cook new dishes.

Why I am a Mormon

Perhaps it is simple enough to say that I am a Mormon simply because my parents are and many, though not all, of my family members are. I have come to a knowledge of the truthfulness, however on my own through study, prayer and experience. I have had many trials in my life that have tested my faith in both God and the Church and many of the experiences I have had at those times with prayer and others have confirmed to me that what I believe in is true and that it is my greatest source of happiness when I live the commandments and even when my trials are difficult and painful.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying the scriptures including the new testament, old testament, book of Mormon, doctrine and covenants as well as many of the teachings that come from the current prophets and apostles living on the Earth today. I try my best to make friends with the people around me and do what I can to take care of others. I talk to my family on a regular basis and make sure they always know that I love and care for them. When I have the opportunity and often when friends ask me questions about my beliefs and share what I believe in and often will leave something with them to read about my personal beliefs and regardless of whether or not they agree with me I make sure they know that I care about them and want them to be happy.
