Hi I'm Andres Lazarte

Married about 2 months ago. going to school at Oxford in the winter and I am a Mormon

About Me

I am the son of converts. My father was baptized when he was a young man in Bolivia. Then he served a mission, He was came to America married my mom and went to medical school. I served my mission in Argentina, I was married about a 4 months ago to the girl of my dreams in the Salt Lake City Utah temple. I worked for Mitt Romney during is Presidential campaign as a media relations advance specialist. And now i work as an advertisement consultant, I study at Utah Valley University and Oxford university in advertising and political science and foreign affairs. I grew up very poor in fact for Christmas we had a piece a paper with a christmas tree drawn on it. So to be able to study at Oxford and have a confirmable life just shows the Love that God has for his children. My favorite things to do is to spend time with my wife reading and talking, and playing her in basketball which i have never lost :) The church is the greatest blessing that I have had in my life. My wife and I both served a mission in fact in the same mission. at the end of my mission Karissa (my wife) just got to the mission and I was serving in the mission home and during interviews everyone in the mission signed my journal afterward I sent everyone a email she respond and then so did and and back and forth, till i asked my mission president Salas if it would be appropriate to write her and ask her out after, he said it would be perfect. So I did. best blessing i have received.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it gives my life meaning. That there is God in Heaven that listens to worries and questions I have. When i was 17 right before my mission my mother was diagnosed with cancer and we were not sure if she would live for very long. I had 4 younger siblings at the time the youngest 3. But thanks to a merciful Father in Heaven she is ok and was able to attend my wedding. But after those sleepless nights and the worry i started to thank my Heavenly Father for the trial because it brought my family closer. And now I have a stronger testimony than ever that no matter what happens in this life i will be with my family forever. Means even more now that i have a wife, that i can be together with her forever. Anything less than forever would be unfair. I am mormon because its true and it gives me hope.

How I live my faith

I do my best to show my wife how much she means to me. We enjoy reading the scriptures ( The Holy Bible, and the Book Of Mormon) every night together. We can feel a difference when we pray together and make an effort to do as the Lord commands to spend time and show each other how much we care about each other. I do my best to help those who I see might need my help, by volunteering for service projects that my ward (local church) offers. I serve in the Presidency of the young men, I plan activities and help make a good environment for the youth in the community.
