Hi I'm Elise

I'm a small town country gal from West Virginia who married a Utah city man. I love making Pie. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my best friend for six months. One day, I hope to have cute little munchkins running around. I attended beauty school and am currently attending a university hoping to one day publish children's books. I am an animal lover, I have been ever since I was born twenty years ago. I love being an American and I love being a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

My father was not raised as a Mormon and did not even know what a Mormon was until he met my mother. She introduced him, to what he came to find out later, was his beautiful future. He prayed and studied about the gospel of Jesus Christ through the Book of Mormon, attending church meetings and having discussions with the missionaries. A few months later, he chose to be baptized. He married my mother and a year later they were sealed together in the Washington D.C. Temple for all time and eternity. I have heard their story multiple times and never get tired of it. Every time it has touched my heart because it reminds me of why I am a Mormon - a Latter-day Saint. I am a Mormon not only because I was born into the faith, but because of all the times I have studied and prayed, asking for myself if it was true. Now I can tell you, my questions have been answered. I am happier living my life with the knowledge of life after death. I am happier knowing that I can live with my family forever, not just in this life, but the next. I am happier knowing that I am never alone or forgotten because I know that God the Father is always with me and I can talk to him through the power of prayer. I am happier knowing that my children can one day have this eternal happiness. I am happier knowing that I am here on this earth for a purpose, to learn everything there is to learn, and teach others everything I have learned. I know I was born of goodly parents and I am so grateful for them and what I have learned from them. This is why I am a Mormon. This is why I believe.

How I live my faith

I live my faith not only weekly when I'm at church, but on a daily basis. I do my best to read my scriptures and pray, but that's not what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about is walking granny across the street. I'm talking about giving your favorite kind of pie to someone else who doesn't have a kitchen to make one themselves. I'm talking about sitting next to that girl all alone at the lunch table and becoming her friend. I'm talking about weeding someones garden even if its raining outside because they're too old to get down on their hands and knees. I'm talking about service. I love it and that's how I live my faith. Showing kindness the way Jesus Christ would.
