Hi I'm Elizabeth Bingham

I grew up in Angel Fire, New Mexico. I love dancing, especially swing dancing, and reading.

About Me

I love to dance. I always wanted to learn how to dance, but until I went to college I never had the chance. While at school I took classes and attended weekly dance workshops, and as my skills and knowledge grew so did my love for everything about it. I have never felt more confident and myself then when I am dancing. I am far from a great dancer, and very likely never will be. I am happy to simply learn and enjoy every minute and every step along the way, regardless of how good I might be or become. I am currently studying elementary education, but hope to eventually go on to study deaf education. Ideally I would love to someday be either a teacher of the deaf or a translator in an elementary school for a deaf child.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God lives. I know he loves me and sent his son to die for me that we all might have the opportunity to return to him some day. I know that the doctrine taught by the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is divinely inspired, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that Joseph Smith was called of God to translate the Book of Mormon by means of divine power. Matthew 7:20 states, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." There is not a single doctrine or practice of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that does not encourage and perpetuate becoming a better happier person. Living by the precepts taught by the Gospel has brought me more joy and happiness than I could ever hope to attain with out them. I know by the fruits of the gospel that it is of god. I have prayed about it, I have lived it, and I know that it is true. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's true church restored again on the earth, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to cultivate a Christ like love for all whom I come in contact with. The Savior loves unconditionally and completely. He is not blind to our faults, but he loves us in spite of them. The saviors love raises us up, inspires us to be better, and gives us the strength to change. I am not perfect as the Savior is, but I try to love them as I know he loves me. I try to look beyond peoples imperfections and see the child of god that they are. I try to be respectful and kind to all, and alert to those who may need my help. I believe we are all brothers and sisters and we all have the responsibility to care for each other. I try to be involved community service and other activities as much as my situation allows. I live my faith by trying everyday to be a little better than I was the day before. I serve in the organization of the church in anyway that the lord may desire me to serve. I have, in the past, been asked to help teach classes for both the children, the adults, and the women of the church.
