Hi I'm Dajuan

I grew up in America. I love music and God. I'm a convert to the church. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love music!! I has always been in my life and I am sure it will always be in my life. I have attended 3 years of college were i study space physics for a little bit then decided to follow my true passions music and education. I love spicy and Asian food in fact the hotter the better.

Why I am a Mormon

Approximately 1 year and 3 months ago I was baptized into the true Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. And I can tell you that I year and 5 months ago I would never have thought that I would have been. But however I should say that since high school I have always had friends that were Mormon. And the summer of 2012 I was working as a Lifeguard with one of my good friends that was Mormon and they asked me if I wanted to go on a church tour. Now i have always been a nice person and figured hey what can it hurt and I figured that nothing would come of it, so i agreed to go on one with the missionaries. As I entered into the doors of the church an overwhelming and wonderful feeling came over me like I had never felt anything like prior to that day came over me. And for the first few minutes of the tour i really didn't register what exactly the missionaries were saying till they stated that the church is centered around Jesus Christ because this was his true church on earth. They then asked me to pay attention to how i was feeling throughout the rest of the tour. I wanted to scream "Don't worry guys I'm already feeling it!" but i decided that i would wait and continue throughout the rest of the tower and enjoy the feelings that were flowing through the deepest parts of me. As we finished the tour the missionaries asked me a question that not only shocked me but as i could see by the look on their face also my good friend, who had invited me on the tour. They asked me If i wanted to set a date to be baptized. Now at this moment literally the only word that I could think of was YES! I knew that there was another word related to yes that I was forgetting but as hard as I tried to think of any other word none came to me but yes and the overwhelming feeling once again came over me and i knew that getting baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints was what the lord wanted me to do. And so I set a day to be baptized and have been blessed ever since.

How I live my faith

There are a couple of ways that i participate in my ward/branch. The first way that i participate is by doing hometeaching. What i do for hometeaching is I go to my assigned homes/families once a month and teach them about part of the gospel that i have recently study about. I know that when I am studying for my hometeaching that I learn a great amount of stuff myself. The second way that I am participating is by preparing myself to go on a mission. I have been called to Xalapa Mexico and I have found that as i diligently study my scriptures more closely that I am getting more out of them than i ever had before. and it allows me to better live my life as the lord would have me do.
