Hi I'm Erica

I'm a wife, a remodeler, college student, and a volunteer coordinator for a non-profit organization and I love it.

About Me

My life has had many ups and downs. Mostly ups such as marrying my best friend. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 4 years now and they have been the best years of my life. I am currently finishing my bachelor's degree in history education. I took a break from school when we were first married to work, now I find myself balancing full-time work, school and family life.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel started when I wanted to know for myself if the Book of Mormon was true. It was a long struggle to gain an unwavering testimony, but once I did, I couldn't keep it to myself! So I served a mission in Lisbon Portugal where I was able to share with others what I have grown to know to be true. My true testimony of the Gospel didn't come until years later. My husband and I struggle with infertility and have been trying to have children or adopt for several years now. We know it is all in the Lord's timing but understand the difficulty that it can cause in your marriage. Luckily for us, we are strongly rooted in the Gospel and understand the Lord's plan for us may not be out plan for us. Because of this faith in Him, we are patiently waiting for our eternal family to grow. I am grateful for my knowledge of the Gospel because without it, this struggle with infertility would crush me. When I find myself losing hope, I remember that Jesus Christ has already bore this burden for me and I can always turn to Him. I am so grateful for is sacrifice so that I wouldn't have to suffer. Something that amazes me about the Church is that each week, I find myself growing closer and closer to my Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I am a teacher in our women's group on Sundays. Most of these lessons are based on scriptures and modern day revelation. These lessons help us learn as women how we can be better wives, mothers, and sisters in Christ.
