Hi I'm Tessa

I am on the Autism Spectrum Disorder and overcame great lengths of it. I love my family, and they love me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a large family firm with the testimony of the gospel. I have a passion for learning with hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher after my first year in college in Hawaii and I also have a passion for music such as dancing, singing in a choir or playing on the piano. I also enjoy reading novels, being with my family, traveling, and visiting historical sites.

Why I am a Mormon

I know for a fact that the Church is true and I can find peace and feel happiness wherever I go and fully be assured that the Lord will always be with me when life becomes hard. And I cannot imagine my life without it after having a lifetime of learning and reminding me that I am a daughter of God and He deeply cares for me and everyone else

How I live my faith

I participate in my church by attending to their meetings regularly, performing acts of service, and sharing my friendship and love for others. And I, also, follow the standard of keeping my self-respect by not dressing immodestly, use profane, hurtful words, participate in immoral activities like taking drugs or drinking alcohol. I strive to be respectful not to myself but to God who gave me my body and life, and to others around me whether they agree with my personal standards or not. Now because I have shrived this, I am preparing myself to serve and shared the Gospel in the Pennsylvania, Philadelphia mission beginning this winter.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Tessa
Not all Mormons are required to serve a mission. It is a voluntary act of service, but our church leaders strongly encourage the young men to go and serve a mission for two years. Yet young women who have a strong desire to serve can do it for eighteen months of their lives devoted to Him like the apostles did in the New Testament to show our love for others, and to Him.
