Hi I'm Belle

I grew up in Denmark before I came to live in Utah, U.S.A. three years ago. I'm a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a sophomore in college majoring in Biology and Physical Science. I was a swimmer in High School. I love reading and writing, hiking (and crashing in canoes on rivers), and when I'm with my friends, we talk about everything and nothing, laugh about something, and go eat food.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, meaning that my parents were both members when they had me. But even with the gospel in my life from the very beginning, it was still hard. One year, I decided that maybe I should go to a youth activity, just this once. The youth activity consisted of a short lesson followed by a game and refreshments. The lesson that one particular day was about the trials we sometimes suffer in our time and day. We were half-way through the lesson when the speaker said, "Christ took upon him every sin that has, is, and ever will be committed. Meaning, that thrill you felt when your crush grabbed your hand, he took that upon him. That sadness you felt when you flunked a test, he took that upon him. Even when you made a mistake, he took that upon him. That is why he understands us completely. He went through it as well through us." Those words changed my life and I worked to become closer to God again. I'm a Mormon because my Heavenly Father gives me second and twelfth chances.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving an 18 months mission in Washington D.C. North, Spanish speaking :) And I'm loving it in so many different ways than I expected.
