Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a sister, I'm a singer, I'm a southern girl who loves crawfish and Cajun food and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest and only girl of 5. I've lived in Louisiana my whole life. I served a mission in the California Roseville Mission for 18 months and it was the best decision of my life. Music is my passion. I know that there is power behind good music. It's beautiful and it means so much to me. It's always played a huge role in my life. I'm also a concert junkie. Both of my parents joined the church in their 20's. We are the only members out of my extended family and I am so blessed. I'm so grateful for the brave decision they made to join this church and live what they believe and what they came to know is true.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I wouldn't be the person I am today without this gospel. There have been times where I've fallen far from the path and even doubted all that I've learned growing up. But because of my glimmer of faith, I found my way back. I am a Mormon because I see what the world can do to people. I've always been surrounded by "worldly" people and things: in my family, at school, at work, etc. I am a Mormon because I believe in this church and this gospel. I am a Mormon because everything in this gospel makes sense. I've been to other churches with other family members and friends. Some of them were really great and I could feel the spirit there, but they couldn't compare to how mine made me feel inside my heart.

How I live my faith

I am a sister missionary and I served in the California Roseville mission. I live by example. My whole life, I've pretty much been the only Mormon in my group of friends. I went to a small high school, and there weren't many other members. Everyone knew I was Mormon: my friends, my teachers, my co-workers, everyone. And because they knew this, I knew that I had to make sure that I was the best Mormon they knew! I was never a perfect example, because I've made some mistakes. But I do my best to live a Christ-like life, as best as I can. I was called as a nursery teacher for a short while, while in college. It has been my favorite calling so far. Teaching children, and children with disabilities, is probably one of my favorite things to do. All children have such sweet spirits that need to be nurtured and surrounded by positive influences.
