Hi I'm Brittney Parsons

I am the youngest of four children. I am a full-time missionary in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint in the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. It is a huge blessing to spend everyday of the next 18 month in service to God. I love to read, swim, laugh, and eat. Some day I hope to finish school as a physicians assistant; but my dream is to stay at home and raise my future children. As the daughter of a retired Air Force Reserve Veteran and an incredible mother, I am blessed to have a brother, brother-in-law, two sisters, a sister-in-law, and the cutest nephew on the planet. Life has had it's ups and downs, but with the help of God and each other we have found that there is ALWAYS something to be happy about.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. The truths I have been taught throughout my life bring me the peace and hope to endure whatever God sees I need to endure. The Gospel of Jesus Christ helps me feel whole and complete. In other words, I am a Mormon because I am not sure how I could endure this mortal life without the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I didn't always know the LDS church is true. My freshman year of high school was a critical point in my life- before then I had never read the Book of Mormon or prayed to know if it is the word of God. During this year I read the entire Book of Mormon twice and started living as I had always been taught to live. It was during this time that I learned for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church on earth with the same teachings He taught. I know that anyone else who does these things can also gain this same knowledge for him or herself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by spending time studying the word of God and speaking to our Father in Heaven through prayer. This time is when I learn God's will for me, and then the rest of the time I strive to go and do it! Right now, I have the opportunity to be serving a full-time mission for God. My purpose as a missionary is to help others to come unto Christ. It is the hardest and yet greatest work I have ever been involved with. Overall, I try to live my faith by doing what our Savior would do and by loving and following Him with all my heart.
