Hi I'm Sara Stapley

I'm a pianist. I am an advocate for my neighborhood. I am a mother of three little children. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm born and raised in Arizona. Very early on, i discovered my passion for music and italian food. I competed in local piano competitions and had many wonderful performing opportunities. I went on to get a Bachelor's in Piano Performance and a Master's in Collaborative Piano. Inbetween the two degrees I served a mission in Italy and confirmed my passionate love for Italian anything. After 5 years of infertility, my husband and I were blessed to have three children who are very active and very adorable. They definitely keep me on my toes. I love being a Mom. It is crazy fun. I try to be a deliberate mother and not miss out on this precious time with my kids. I perform with a community choir and teach piano. I love being with friends, listening to jazz, camping as long as there are no wild animals and a laterine nearby, and doing yard work. I eat alot of ceral because it is delicious. My dream is to one day be a yoga instructor.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church because it is so real. By that, I don't mean realistic. I mean tangible and solid spiritual real. I was born and raised in this church. I read the Book of Mormon and Bible as a teenager and felt many times Christ's love and God's hand guide my life through it's passages. When I became a young adult, I started to see the world around me and knew that I had choices. As I would attend other religious services, I could feel their devotion to God, but it would feel like something was still missing. It didn't feel "real" or "alive". But when I hear the prophet speak, Thomas Monson, I feel that this is all real. I feel like I am following Christ's teachings and church as if He were here leading it. And I know He is. That is one of my favorite parts of being a member of this church is knowing that it is lead by a living prophet who can speak in God's behalf. Especially now as so many values and things are changing in the world, it gives me so much peace to know that God really is the same yesterday, today and forever. He has always spoken by His servants, the prophets, and He does today. I am a Mormon because I love God's word. It gives me so much peace and hope. It gives me direction and clears my mind. I just feels so good. I love to read His life in the New Testament and in the Book of Mormon. It is so awesome to know that there is more of His life that I can learn about like in the Book of Mormon. I know that God is very aware of what is going on in this world. I also know that He loves His children and needs all of us to help each other to Christ. I know that Christ is the only way for us to make it every day, and ultimately make it back home to God. I love him for what He has done for me. This church feeds my soul by bringing me to Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to keep connected with God every day. He has always been there for me whenever I have reached out to him. I try to share this others by telling them of how His daily hand blesses me and hope that they too will recongize how He is guiding their life too. I love to read the words of Christ and remember that He is so real. I really love to include my kids on this and let them see me pray and even join me. My faith is strengthened as I serve and work with the youth in my Church. I am over all the girls ages 12-18 in my congregation. They inspire me to stand strong in my faith. I love to teach them on Sundays and during the week about how real God is and how the world really has nothing to offer in comparisan to Him. I live my faith by trying to love and be there for them because Christ would do it if He were here. I try to live my faith by the music I share. I know that music is a powerful tool to lift others. I always perform with the prayer that what I play will help others feel the Lord's love for them. I believe that all good things come from Christ. So I think he must be the ultimate musician and creative inividual.
