Hi I'm Amelia

I live up in Washington State. I'm an artist. I'm a daughter, a sister, a friend, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been drawing and reading ever since I can remember, and I love singing, acting, and playing the violin. I decided to use my passion for art as a career path, and I am a potential Illustration student at Brigham Young University. I hope to also pursue my love for music and literature. I have a huge passion for storytelling, which is why I love books and film so much. I get really invested in my favorite TV show, movies, and books. I love the intricacies of made-up worlds, and I myself hope to be able to create such worlds through art and writing. I am a nerd through and through (though I prefer to label myself as passionate about the things I love), and I am definitely a hopeless romantic.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born in the church, but really, I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. I love that church doctrine is so logical and that everything taught in the church fits so well, and is the same no matter where in the world you are. I love being a Mormon because there is such a wonderful support group of members with real feeling of family. I love being a Mormon because of the sweet assurance of the truth of the Atonement and the belief that I have in my savior Jesus Christ because of my membership in the church.

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith by serving a mission for the LDS church, and I will be serving in Finland. I attend church as often as I can and have recently been the newsletter for my congregation. I have in the past been a youth leader and have participated in church choir. I took all four years of Seminary (scripture classes conducted by the Mormon church) in high school. I have always been careful to make sure my friends and coworkers know what my standards are, and am open about my faith.
