Hi I'm Jason Hong

I grew up in Fremont, California. I have deeps roots in this Gospel. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been called to serve in the Utica, New York mission. I am from California's Bay Area where there is a Summer, a long Fall, and a regular Spring; so adjusting to the cold winters will be a fun challenge worth taking on. I am so excited to serve the Lord! There is truly no better thing to do than to dedicate every second of every day to him. I love to helping others come unto Christ and to experience his gospel in its fullness. I was blessed to be born into the church. I am blessed with a wonderful family and great friends. I lean on them a lot, but I lean on the Lord the most because I know he is always there extending his love unconditionally. My life's motto is found in Alma 37:37.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a wonderful family that have already been members of this church; however, I would like to think that I am a convert to this gospel, and I think to a point everyone is a convert. I needed to be converted to this gospel for my own desires and not my family or parents. The reason I am a Mormon is because of my parents and their faith, but the reason I am still active in this church is because I have prayed to know that it is the correct church to join. I have pondered on the scriptures and what they teach. I have worked for my testimony of this gospel and I will stand by it forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day. I have a faith in Jesus Christ that can never be shaken. I know that through His great atonement I am able to withstand any trail, temptation, loss of a love one, and anything else that come my way solely because I know that Christ himself as felt the way I feel. As it says in Alma 7 "he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind... that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities." And I know this to be true. He has experienced everything that I have gone though and ever will go through. Knowing that each day, its hard not to be so very thankful. That comfort makes it easy to live my faith.
