Hi I'm Kyle

I am from Lexington, Kentucky. I'm a rocker. I'm a missionary. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I absolutely love music. I play guitar, bass guitar, sing, and play pretty much any brass instrument. I am always up to learning a new instrument, and am trying to learn even more. I love listening to all kinds of music, anything from classical to pop to death metal. I like to write music, play music, produce music, anything. I am currently serving my mission in Irvine California, where I am helping to bring people the word of the Lord and show them my own faith and how it can help them. It is a huge endeavor, but I am certainly up to the challenge.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is true. Simple as that. Throughout my teenage years I had doubts. I had times where my faith was weak. However, through the simple "primary answers": praying, reading the scriptures, and going to church, I developed a testimony. This church is true. There is no way that I would try to spread the gospel to people if I didn't know of a surety that it was true. Otherwise, I would not possibly be able to feel the joy that comes from saving someone and bringing them to Christ. And honestly, even if this church wasn't true, I would still live the principles that it teaches. Developing families, living worthily, keeping yourself free from the bondage of sin, those are all things that have helped me tremendously in my life. I have seen what the church has done for my mom. She is a convert and our family has been blessed through the commandments that sometimes seem to be difficult. My mom's side of the family is absolutely crazy. Divorce, grudges, and general bad stuff abounds. So how did my family become an island amidst this sea of confusion? I know that it is because of this gospel, and I know that this gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I love to go to big rock concerts, which as we all know isn't exactly a breeding ground for religion. However, by going to these, my faith was certainly strengthened. How so? I could see all of God's children in a new light. Seeing thousands of people gathered together, most of them knew nothing of the gospel that I know. Going on a mission allows me to give this gospel to those who had never heard of the true gospel. I can give people the peace that I feel. I can watch people change into brand new people. It is one of the most satisfying things in the world to see someone truly happy, and know that you were a major factor in bringing that to them.
