Hi I'm Selima

I grew up in Kiribati. I like table tennis and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really like to make someone laugh and I am so interested in singing.I grew up on an island and so I would often like to swim and go fishing.I'm grew up with a protestant family, but when I was 14 I was taught the Gospel and got baptized.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 14 years of age one of my older brothers approached me and asked if I would meet with the missionaries. I was a Protestant at that time and I used to be an active member of that church. Honestly I really hated the Mormon Church and I really don't know why! I also did not feel interested at that time. The missionaries then starting teaching me about the Restored Gospel and as I continue to be taught by the missionaries I came to know and felt that what they shared is true. I was taught to pray about the message they shared and I did it. Every time I went to Church I always felt a strange feeling that I never had before. But now what I need to say is that this is the true Restored Gospel where you can only find peace and especially the hope to live with our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I am trying to live my faith by attending church meetings and also by attending firesides. Participating in these two things helps me to be happy and feel that it's the right thing to do. I can learn a lot of things that will help me to face different kinds of trials in life. Every fireside that I have gone to always help me to think of what I need to do in this life to prepare myself for the life to come. Most of all young single adult firesides are the best for me. I know that they teach me a lot on how can I defend myself from the worldly things.
