Hi I'm Nicole Rockwood

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm soon leaving to serve a mission in Tijuana Mexico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up playing baseball and softball ever since I was 7 years old. I played on the softball team for my college during my freshman year. After completing my first year of college I felt that I needed to serve a mission rather than continue my softball career. I turned down my softball scholarship to play my sophomore year so that I would be able to pursue my desire to go on a mission. I plan to finish my college education once I complete my mission and start a career, possibly being a teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church so much! My parents are both members of the church so I've grown up learning the principles of this gospel. I didn't learn all at once that this was the true church on the earth, but it was a process of continually putting faith in the Lord in order to build my testimony. I'm a Mormon because being a part of this church has brought me more happiness than I can ever say. I know that this church is true and it brings me so much hope to know that God has created a plan for me so that I can be happy and live with my family forever. I'm so excited to go on my mission and share this message with the people in Mexico so that they can find the happiness I have come to know through the gospel. I know this church is true and that God personally knows who I am and he has a plan for me, and I can continue to find great happiness if I'm obedient to his commandments throughout my life.

How I live my faith

I've grown up as a member of the church my entire life. Through my membership I have been given many opportunities to serve others, not only through service projects I've done with the church, but I've been able to serve in callings in the church. However, the most important aspect of living my faith in my life has been through daily prayer and scripture study in order to draw closer to my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. Living faithfully is a daily process as I strive to be an example of my beliefs at all times by treating others with kindness and following the example of Jesus Christ.

Are Mormons Christians?
