Hi I'm Shay

"I'm a husband and father of four. I'm a Mormon."

About Me

I was raised in the church, but did not gain a knowledge of it's truthfulness until I was 16 years old. I had made a lot of poor decisions at a young age that I had to live with the natural problems that follow those decisions. At age 16 I decided to read the Bible and the Book of Mormon to find out if they were true because I was looking for hope and peace in my life. I had now idea the blessings that would come into my life and the lives of others because of that decision.

Why I am a Mormon

I served a Mission in Poland for two years which helped me to be a successful husband and father. It also blessed the lives of others who accepted the message, and I saw people of all ages make changes in there lives, and saw the joy that followed as they lived the teachings. I have a successful business in the financial industry and can tie every blessing in my life to the activity I have had in the church. I also pray daily and read the scriptures and have felt a close relationship to my Father in Heaven. He comforts me when things don't always go the way I think they should, helps me to grow into the man he wants me to be, and helps me understand why I have certain experiences in this life. He guides me daily as I read the scriptures and feel his guidance in the many hard decisions that I must make as a young father and provider for a good size family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking time daily to read the scriptures, and ponder not only there meaning, but how they apply to my life. I also attend Church meeting every Sunday which brings me greater understanding of how to apply the teachings of the scriptures to my life today. Praying daily brings the teachings into my life in a personal way. I feel a closer connection to God as my Father in Heaven, and feel his love for me and concern in the daily responsibilities that I have as a young father of four and a husband.
