Hi I'm Dianna

I'm a Mormon! I grew up in Oregon and I am a LOVER of LIFE & singing. Ophthalmic technician and soon to be a missionary in MEXICO!

About Me

I LOVE my family and I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love doing a lot of things such as swimming, hiking, biking, house cleaning, visiting elderly people and all people. I am enthusiastic about life and love bringing happiness and joy into others lives.. I just got my associates degree to be an Ophthalmic technician( most people say what?huh?..so here it is.. I am basically the nurse of a dr office but in the eye world. I work for an Ophthalmology group), and how I got there is a whole other conversation. I love to sing and make music on the piano. I am often too busy to do the things I love doing but when I get a chance to do them I embrace it! Music has been a part of my life since I was a young girl. At family prayer each evening we would sing a hymn together. I am so grateful for that because it taught me to love music and I want to share it with others now. Music can bring the spirit into our lives in a way that truly touches the "strings of our spirit". Music has helped me change my life for the better as I listen to wholesome music. As I listen to and ponder the words that are sung, I have become closer to my Savior. I love my parents and am so grateful for the things they have taught me as a child, teenager, and now as an adult. I enjoy going to my parents farm and learning how to be a better worker and daughter. I now enjoy gardening and cooking with the foods we grow. It is such a blessing to have a garden and to watch and learn from God's creations.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I am Mormon?!?! It is the best thing in my life! As I live the gospel, I learn more and love it more! Doing what God wants me to do, always strengthens my faith and I am then able to do more for the Lord and in my life. I have strength to do what is required of me. I have peace and I know that no matter what happens I can always turn to the Savior. He heals me when I am hurt, his healing is different than what I thought it was as a child. The Lord gives me work and things to do, as I serve others I am able to cope with my problems and I find solutions as I do so. It truly is a miracle that Christ can change us as we are willing to do what he wants us to do. I love that it is a personal relationship with Christ. Being guided by his holy spirit is so meaningful to me. I am lost without the saviors love and guidance. He is my Redeemer and I cannot please my God without Him. He gives me peace in my time of need. I love the principles taught in the LDS church, not only do we teach about spiritual things but temporal needs. There is great emphasis placed on emergency preparedness and what to do in those situations. The gospel covers every aspect of life as we look and search for it. It is a gospel of happiness and joy!

How I live my faith

When I am really living my faith, I am following the small promptings I receive from the holy spirit. As I do so, I am blessed to be in the right place at the right time and able to do what the Lord has in store for me. It is amazing what we can do when we give the Lord our will. Being involved in the Young Single Adult program of the church, I have grown and learned so much. As a leader and inviting others to come to institute and activities has been something I have done to live my faith. Being involved as much as I can and trying to help others has strengthened my faith in Christ. It is a blessed opportunity to be a part of such a great program, it has strengthened my testimony in so many ways. Institute is a bible study class (held during the week) where we learn about the bible or study some gospel related topic. It has been a great way for me to get a boost of spiritually for the remainder of my week. Often times I will have experiences in the week that I am able to share with others about how my faith in some gospel topic has been strengthened. I have these experiences when I follow the promptings of the spirit. I am so grateful for the programs of the church and how much we can learn and grow from the simplest things in life.
