Hi I'm Krista

I grew up in Carrollton, Georgia. I'm a BYU nursing student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to laugh and have fun. I have a ton of energy, so I love enthusiastic people who like to get out and do things. I like hiking and swimming, but I also really enjoy reading and baking! I'm a college student, studying nursing. I want to be a trauma nurse and eventually set up EMS clinics around the world. I want to make a difference by healing people and by raising a family of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family, but when my parents got divorced, my mom left the Church. I really had to ask myself what I believed. I began to rely on my own testimony, and I was strengthened as a result. I had applied the Atonement in my life while my parents were getting divorced. I knew then that Heavenly has a plan for me. The help and hope the Gospel gave me, and the support had from my church leaders kept me coming, and now I have a firm testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live in a student ward, so it's a little different than a family ward. Everyone in my ward is between the ages of 18 and 30. Most are in their mid-twenties. I have served as Relief Society president and secretary (the women's organization), and now I coordinate monthly meals for the ward. I attend lots of fun activities which allow me to both feel the spirit and have fun while I get to know my fellow ward members. There are so many opportunities for service and growth in a student ward. I love it!
