Hi I'm Katie

I grew up in Kansas with three awesome siblings. I like school. I like creativity. I like challenges. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The happiest times in my life have involved music, family, books, and misadventures. I studied acting throughout high school and pursued it into university at BYU. It helped me stretch and opened my mind to new ideas and interesting people. I have moved with my family several times, each move brought me closer to my family and closer to God.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon with the help of excellent parents and the example of an older brother. I thought the world of him and as I saw the gospel motivate and ground him I knew it was good. It took a lot of questioning and I made many mistakes, but through those questions and mistakes I found the atonement. I remember one night, my sophmore year of collage, sitting in my car in a state of such happiness and peace. In that moment I knew it was possible for me to change and in that moment I found faith in Jesus Christ. The foundation of that testimony is the Book of Mormon. Why am I a Mormon? The answer to that question is simply because of the Book of Mormon and it's undeniable witness of my savior.

How I live my faith

Throughout my time in the church I have loved being taught and teaching. It has been the greatest joy for me to study and help others understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Teaching is a weird skill that takes a lot of failure to find success. I have a lot of life ahead of me and finding ways to live my faith and use the skills it has given me is a top priority.
