Hi I'm Benjamin Hoose

I grew up in a farming town in upstate New York. I am serving my mission in the Chile, Santiago South Mission.

About Me

I am a student at BYU majoring in wildlife conservation with the goal to eventually become a wildlife biologist. I enjoy backpacking, canoeing, and generally adventuring. I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Chile, Santiago South Mission. Upon my return, I intend to contract with BYU's Army ROTC program.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church and have been active my entire life. As a kid, I relied heavily on my parents' testimony, but I eventually had to develop a testimony of my own. I questioned the Church, but found the beginnings of a testimony in the fact that I would not be as good a person had I not grown up in a home where the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are taught. My testimony grew one piece at a time thereafter.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve as a missionary of the Church in the Chile, Santiago South Mission. My purpose will be to Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.
