Hi I'm Kaniesha!

I'm from California. I love the ocean. I don't wear shoes. I love the gospel, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to dance, dance, dance! Playing soccer makes me happy, as do all sports. I cannot stand shoes, I only wear them to church. I love to paint, draw, and create. I highly enjoy all time spent outdoors (unless it's cold) whether it be hiking, slacklining, going on a run, swimming, boating, soaking up the sun, you name it! I am the 6th of 7 children and my family is my lifeline. They are my dearest and closest friends and the people I love most on this earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being a member of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and living accordingly, makes me the most happy I can possibly be in this life. It provides me with the things that bring me the most joy in this life. Because of the Savior and the chance I have to make sacred covenants with Him, I have the chance to live forever with my family, who are the most important thing in my entire life. I know that I will get a chance to meet my nephew, see my grandmother again, and all those who will eventually pass from my life. Being a Mormon gives me comfort to know that this life is not the end, and reminds me I need to live as righteous as I can to hopefully one day return to those I have lost. Also, I am able to be happy because of the Atonement of Christ. I used to think that Christ died only so we can live with our Heavenly Father again, which is true and SO very important and vital, but that is not the only reason. My Savior, and your Savior, died for ME. He died to give me comfort in my times of trial. He has felt every single one of my physical pains, through multiple surgeries and broken bones. He has felt every single one of my emotional pains, through dumb breakups, fights with friends, being made fun of, feeling alone. He has been by my side the whole time, helping to make it through. He has faith in me that I can make it through anything. And I know I can, because He did. And He did it for me. I know that Christ lives. I know that His atonement not only helps me get through hard times, but it also helps me feel the happiness I do all the time. Life is magnificent, and that is because of my Savior and what He has done for me. I know that He suffered for every single one of us that chose to come to this earth, and because of Him we all have the opportunity to live up to our potential and receive or inheritance, to live with Heavenly Father and Christ once again with all of our loved ones. I know that my elder brother loves me, and I love Him.

How I live my faith

I love attending church. It's a very neat chance to receive a posititon where you can serve everyone around you. I have the chance to be an institute representative for my ward (the group of people I go to church at the same time as that live near me). Institute is an incredible opportunity to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Where I am currently living, we get together on Wednesday nights and fellow peers teach us lessons concerning the scriptures and the role of the Savior in all of our lives. It is a very incredible experience every single week to participate in discussion and learn from everyone around you.
