Hi I'm Marissa

Born and raised in the sweet mountains of Utah. Serving the Lord in Eugene, Oregon. I am Mormon.

About Me

I've been a dancer sense I was a little three year old and been dancing for 16 years. It's always been my go to when I need a break from the world! I'm a lover of exploring new places and traveling with the ones I love. My family means the world to me & I've feel blessed by Lord for the people that He's put in my life. I have currently been called to serve my Savior for the duration of 18 months on an LDS mission in Eugene, Oregon! Serving and loving the people in my mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized when I was 8 years old into the church! My family has always been members of this church and I always believed the church was true. When I was about 13 I took the challenge to read the Book of Mormon and there's a promise given it it by a prophet named Moroni, "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ya would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." So I did just that! And who would've thought, our Heavenly Father answered my prayers. So that's when I had a testimony that I knew the things that I had been told my whole life were true. I know for myself that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. As all people do, we tend to lean upon our own understanding and knowledge for what we believe is true. For once, I went to my Heavenly Father and asked Him to tell me truth. Sense being graduated I have gone through many trials and nothing has brought me the peace that this gospel does. I know without a doubt this is the true church of our Father in Heaven. His plan is the only plan that can bring true happiness and lead us back into His arms!

How I live my faith

I have attended a YSA ward (young single adults). It's an amazing experience to be with other young single adults who all choose to attend church without their family. We're all in that stage where we are all just graduating high school and not being married. I have a calling of visiting teaching where I go with one other girl from the ward and we visit girls from the ward. I feel blessed beyond blessed to be apart of the womens organizations called Relief Society. Did you know that its the LARGEST womens organization in the world? I can testify that serving others is central to God's plan for our happiness!
