Hi I'm Shannon

I'm adopted, I'm musical, I'm a missonary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I was born and raised in Arizona. I am the second of five children in my family.I have a wonderful family who I love more than they will ever know! I feel so blessed that I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. I wouldn't have it any other way! I have been called to serve the Lord as a full time missionary in the Georgia Macon Mission! There is no greater blessing in life than that. I have been so incredibly blessed, and I am so thankful to be a member of this church.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? That is a good question that has a very simple answer. I am a Mormon because of the happiness and joy it brings into my life. It gives me the gift of self worth and knowing that I am important no matter how small and unimportant I may feel. I am reminded on a daily basis that I am a daughter of God, that He loves me, and He not only hears my prayers, but He answers them. He may not answer my prayers in the way I want or the timing that I want, but He does answer in the way He sees fit for me. Knowing that I can be with my family for eternity is one of the greatest blessings. I would not want to live my life any other way than being a member of this church! I know this church is true, I wouldn't be serving a mission if I didn't!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the small and simple things, such as, studying the scriptures, going to church, praying, attending the temple on a regular basis, following the 10 commandments, serving others, following the guidelines the church has for us, and striving to be more Christlike. In the Book of Mormon, Alma 37:6 reads, "It is by small and simple things that great things are brought to pass." I believe that is true.
