Hi I'm Kayla Palmer

I grew up in Orem, UT. I am currently preparing myself to serve a mission.

About Me

Right now i am single and I am not attending school. I hope to someday be a Physical Therapist. I have always loved the medical field and my desire to be a physical therapist increased when I dislocated my knee playing basketball. I never really liked physical therapy, but the thought of helping athletes and other people recover from their injuries, without having to see a lot of blood, guts and gore sounded good. I love sports. In elementary school, instead of playing with the other little girls on the playground, you would most likely find me out on the field with the guys playing a game of football or soccer. Basketball was also one of our favorites and I always made sure to let the guys know that just because i was a girl, didn't mean I couldn't play. I can get pretty competitive when i play sports but i think a lot of people do. Besides basketball, soccer and football, i also enjoy swimming, baseball and golf. I love the outdoors. Camping, hiking, horseback riding. Those are all different outdoor activities that i love. I love being out in nature and feeling the peace that you can find there. Overall, I am a pretty happy person. I love making new friends and i love helping people feel better.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have my own testimony of this church. I have grown up in the gospel and my parents have taught me gospel principles. There came a point in time though where I knew I couldn't rely on my parent's testimony. I had to find out for myself if this church was the true church on the earth. Deep down I knew it was, but I still read the Book of Mormon and prayed to my Heavenly Father for an answer. That answer came. Everything that I had been taught growing up was true. Now I get to strengthen my testimony as I continue to read the Book of Mormon, attend church, and learn more about Christ.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and I attend ward activities. As a young woman, I worked with my leaders to plan activities and reach out to the other girls in the ward and make them feel welcome, so that they would have a desire to come to young womens. Now I am in Relief Society and I get to interact with the woman in our ward. I get to go with my mom and help her fulfill her calling by meeting new people and occasionally going visiting teaching with her.
