Hi I'm Clark

I grew up in Brigham city Utah. I just graduated high school and I am now about to serve a mission.

About Me

Through out all of high school I played a lot of sports. The three main ones I focused on were wrestling, track, and football. I also really enjoy the out doors. I like riding dirt bikes and camping and boating activities. I love to work in the shop whether it's welding, wood working, or engine mechanics, I like it all. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in Jacksonville Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family so I was baptized when I was 8 years old. Don't get me wrong. It was my choice to be baptized, but I can't say I had a full testimony of the gospel at that time. As I got older and became a teenager I would go to my Sunday classes and mutual activities and do all the usual things a Mormon kid does, but there comes a time for every one when they really have to ask them selves if they know the gospel is true or not. This question came to me when I was in middle school. I was sitting in a science class learning about the universe and it hit me, what if all this "God" stuff ins't really true? What if it really was just a coincidence that we are all ended up here on earth? Thinking about all of this honestly scared me. I wondered if all I have ever known could be a lie and all I had been taught was just a bunch of stories. I wish after pondering these questions I could say that I went home and prayed and read the scriptures and found an answer that way, but I didn't. For some reason I just let it play out. I kept going to church and all the activities each week and during this whole time, with out actually knowing it, I gradually started gaining my own testimony. When it came time for me to go on my mission, I realized that I did know the church was true and every thing I had been taught was right.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve a full time mission. I have grown up in an active LDS family where my father and most of my older siblings have served missions and I can't wait to follow in their foot steps. I hope once I am in the field I can help people feel the spirit and bring them closer to Christ leading them to the waters of baptism.
