Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I have lived in Utah my whole life. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom and I have an amazing husband. My family means everything to me. We have two dogs. I like spending time with my family. I like hiking, camping, crafting, going to movies, and learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

By living the gospel standards I have been taught since I was young, I have found a happiness that I have never been able to find anywhere else. As I come closer to my Savior Jesus Christ I feel an unconditional love and peace. I am given the comfort of knowing that I am never alone, especially when I am struggling the most and facing my most difficult times. Through the Gospel I am given the greatest blessings. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and bears testimony of the ministry of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that the Lord hears and answers our prayers, we just have to have faith and be patient. I know that our Savior atoned for our sins and through sincere repentance we can be made whole. I know that as we are obedient and faithful we are blessed. Our lives will not be without trials or struggles, but by living the gospel we are given hope and we are able to endure to the end. I am far from perfect, but the Lord doesn't expect perfection. He just wants us to do our best and to share the gospel with others. This is how we show our love for him. He knows each one of us individually and he knows the desires of our hearts. He wants to bless us, we just need to be faithful and continue to learn and grow. I know that this church is true. I know that Joseph Smith was and is a true prophet and that he restored the church upon the earth. I know that through our Savior Jesus Christ we will find eternal happiness and joy. I love this gospel and am proud to be a member. I hope that I can live my life in a way that will help me to share this gift with all those that I meet. Before this life we all knew each other, we are all brothers and sisters and we should treat each other as such. We are literal sons and daughters of God. We are family and we should do all we can to help all of the members of our family return home to our father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

My husband and I attend a married student ward each Sunday. We try to attend all of the activities that they hold. I am a visiting teacher along with a companion to two women in our ward. We try to visit these two sisters at least once a month, and if we are not able to visit them we try to make sure that we know how they are doing and that they know that we are there for them if they ever need us. I am also an Institute representative. As an Institute rep I help plan date nights which includes food and a speaker who speaks to us about Gospel principles and helps us to understand how we can improve and how we can reach out to others. I help share with others the resources that are available to them such as Institute classes, firesides, and special speakers that will help them to more fully understand the gospel. My husband and I try to have different couples from our ward over, including those that are less active or do not attend, for dinner to help us get to know people in our ward. This also helps us to become better friends so that we can help each other and serve one another better. We have made some very good friends doing this.
