Hi I'm Dalys

I am Canadian. I love theatre, schoolwork, and my family. Most of all, I love being a mormon.

About Me

I love life. I have a wonderful family who loves me unconditionally. Theatre is one of my favourite activities, but I also enjoy watching football with my Dad, solving math problems with my Mom, and spending time with my amazing brothers. I have worked at least one part-time job since I was very little, for I find joy in being active and helping others. I take pleasure in cross-country running, and I have high expectations for myself in regards to schoolwork; therefore, my daily schedule is always very busy. However, without a shadow of a doubt, and with every fibre of my being, the I proclaim that the absolute greatest part of my life is the constant companionship and friendship I have with my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I have asked God to know if it is the truth, and I am perfectly certain that it is. I, without my faith, would be completely lost. Everything I do is founded upon my beliefs, for I need God in my every action. As I listen to the lessons I am taught in my church, they ring true with a deepness that often brings me to tears. I only wish that everyone everywhere could know how much they are loved and looked after by a loving Heavenly Father, and His son Jesus Christ. I feel their arms wrap around me during every trial I face. They are my best friends. I know that I lived with them before I came to this earth, that they hope each day for me to accomplish the things I was sent here to do, and that when I die, I will live with them again. I know Christ lived, suffered, and died for me personally, as well as for all of the people on this earth. I know that he was risen after three days, and that because of that, I too can be risen and become like him. I know that if I do all I can to perfect myself, my sins will be forgiven of me, and I will be a joint heir with Christ in the kingdom of God. I have a testimony that my family will be with me in heaven, for we are sealed together for time and all eternity. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the only way to find true peace, love, comfort, guidance, and joy. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am very lucky to live in a community where almost everyone is a member of the "mormon" faith; thus, it is easy to surround myself with good people and carry out the beliefs of our church. Each day, I strive to live like Jesus Christ by doing a simple act of service towards another person in the community. At school, I uphold the standards outlined by our church no matter what the consequences may be. For example, I often have to ask my teacher if I can "sit out" of movies or other activities that I know are not in coherence with the principles taught in our church. . A majority of the time, I have been completely alone in this decision, yet I know my God is always with me when I do as He would do. I try to be a good friend to all those I meet, for I know true followers of Christ seek to find the good in others. The "mormon" church teaches us to live righteously and be happy; consequently, I live my faith by making the life I live the best I can make it and gaining more and more true happiness each day I do!

Are Mormons Christians?

Dalys
Absolutely we are! The full name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; thus, we believe and worship Jesus Christ. Not only do we believe and worship Him, but as mormons, we strive to make Him the centre of our lives. In all situations, no matter where we are, or what our circumstance is, we try to the best of our capabilities to act as His representatives, and make choices He would deem worthy. Jesus Christ is the core of our religion; therefore, we, as mormons, are 100% Christian. Show more Show less
