Hi I'm Tyler

I grew up in California. I love being a dad. I play guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved classic rock and playing guitar. I enjoy playing soccer and am a life long Yankees fan. I have a son and another on the way. I married my best friend and get to hang out with her every day. I got my masters degree in accounting and work as a tax accountant in Texas. I love comedy shows and have always wanted to be either a rock star or comedian.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the church that Christ left to the Apostles after His resurrection. He has called a prophet, just like Moses or Noah, to guide us and continues to reveal His word through the prophet. The Lord has given us the Book of Mormon which is a second book that further confirms the testimony in the Bible that Jesus Christ is the only Savior of the world. We are taught that through obedience to His commandments and ordinances performed through His priesthood, we can be with our families after this life. To be like the Savior is to be kind, patient, and forgiving to those around us. As we live more like Him we will come to recognize that He is real and that He asks for our obedience only so we can experience long-lasting happiness. Everyone can learn that this is true by praying and asking our Father in Heaven for an answer.

How I live my faith

In my church I am a teacher. My wife and I teach some of the teenagers in our congregation every Sunday about Christ and his life. She and I both served Mormon missions and enjoy sharing our experiences with others. Our position as teachers give us the opportunity to talk about how we were able to help, and try to continue to help, those around us. My mission and church responsibilities remind me that to be like Christ I must serve others and see everyone as a precious child of our Heavenly Father. Through my life and different trial I have had, I know the peace that comes from living a life following the Savior and try to spread His influence by offering others a helping hand and a kind countenance.
