Hi I'm Logan Mattson

I grew up in California. I know this Church is true. I'm a full-time missionary in the Iowa Des Moines Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Northern California, I had a pretty average childhood and was raised in the Church. I have six brothers in total, three from birth and three step-brothers, but they are pretty much blood brothers now. I played football in high school. I plan on going to BYU: Idaho to get my Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Physics (figured I'd get more than just Biology :P ). From there I am still debating between becoming a Medical Doctor or a Dentist. I am currently serving a mission in the Iowa Des Moines Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I wanted to know if this Church was true. Then I prayed and after a time I learned this Church is true and after having had this truth confirmed to me by the Holy Ghost and after learning that this Church is true I chose to follow Jesus Christ, because I will not turn away from what I know to be true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and after centuries of the truth being lost, the true church was restored to the Earth by the Lord's appointed messenger. I know this is the True Church of Jesus Christ on the Earth and that any and everybody can learn the truth of these words if they will but humble themselves and pray about it with "a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ."

How I live my faith

I have been raised LDS, Mormon, and have been involved all my life. I live by my faith by doing as many things as I can to help with my ward, a congregation of the Church who attends a specific ward is based of where they live. I participate in home teaching which is when two men called 'home teaching companions' visit several families in the ward, this is usually done on at least a monthly basis. I also seek to provide service in my ward, sometimes I assist in helping people move, help to clean the church building, or just help out the elderly people nearby.
