Hi I'm Nicholas Loosle

I've grown up in so many places I don't know where I'm from, I run for fun, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a third culture kid! I've spent a good half part of my life outside of the United States. I lived in El Salvador shortly after I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. After living about 12 years in the U.S. I got to go live in Mexico for five years, and then another year in Guatemala, which is where my family is now. Being in those circumstances, it came as a shock when I received my mission call to serve the the El Salvador San Salvador East mission, only about 4 hours away from my home in Guatemala. Living overseas has given me a lot of great life experience. I've met a lot of new, and different people in the countries I've lived in, and have gotten to know distinct cultures. No matter where I am I always love running. I discovered that what I lack in coordination I make up for in endurance, and that comes in handy because I really love running long distances. I'm going to miss half marathons and marathons the two years I'm on my mission, but it's a worthwhile sacrifice.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, as were both of my parents. I continue to live the gospel of my own accord, though, thanks to the example my parents have set for me. I know that by living the teachings of Christ I can remain on the straight and narrow path, and I'll always have someone there for me. He can help me make tough decisions, and guide me through hard times. I know that as I continue to follow His gospel that I will be blessed, protected against all the tempests and trials of life.

How I live my faith

I always try to be as serviceable as I can. I really enjoy helping other people with whatever sort of problem they have. I like the distinct feeling of satisfaction one gets after having helped someone else complete a laborious task, or overcome a dilemma. Christ gave the perfect example of selfless service, and I intend to do all I can both during and after the mission to follow His divine example.
