Hi I'm Cassie

I live in Colorado. I am married and have three children. I love being a mom. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like to look up new recipes on the internet to try for my family, with varying degrees of success. I love to watch my kids play sports or learn new things. I am interested in photography, especially taking pictures of family members and scrap booking these pictures online. I love to read books about real people and the great things they have accomplished in their lives. I especially love spending time with my husband and three kids. Life is good!!!

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ makes so much sense to me. I know when I am confused, or need an answer to a question I can study the Book of Mormon or go to the words of the Prophet and Apostles and find an answer that helps me to be happy and know God is in charge. I am so grateful for the knowledge I have of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, what it means to me and to all of God's children. I know He died, not only so we can live again with God, but so we can be happy in this life and enjoy peace in a world of conflict. I do enjoy peace in my life because of the knowledge the gospel of Jesus Christ brings. That is why I am a Mormon!!!

How I live my faith

I have spent the last ten months working with the 18 month to 3 year old children at church. While their parents attend other classes, we play with, teach, and sing with these children. It is sometimes a challenge to keep peace among the 14 or so children but they are always fun. I recently received a call to serve with the adult ladies 18 years old and up. I am going to miss the little kiddo's but I am excited to have a chance to spend time with and serve those ladies in need. And, as in all callings I have had in the past, I know I will be more blessed than those I am trying to serve. I also am a member of the PTA at my children's elementary. I like to be involved with my children's education and enjoy helping the teachers all I can.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Mormons are asked to donate 10% of their income to the church. This money is used to build temples, chapels and fund programs that bless our lives. I am so grateful for the Lord's law of tithing that allows me to give back just 10% of what the Lord has given me and then receive a multitude of blessings because of it. We live on a relatively small income, yet we have all we need and much of what we want. If you pay tithing and try to live within your means the Lord will bless you financially and spiritually. You will not have room to receive all the blessings the Lord will pour out upon you. Show more Show less
