Hi I'm Rylee Gautavai

Bountiful Utah is home. Currently serving a mission in Montreal Canada speaking French, Inside Linebacker for BYU, Love my Family

About Me

I am Samoan/Hawaiian from Bountiful Utah. I have 3 brothers who mean the world to me. I am currently out serving the Lord on a 2 year mission in Montreal Canada speaking the French Language. I decided to serve a mission because I wanted to share this glad message of love and joy to those around the world. I want other people to experience the same joy that has brought many blessings in my life. Also I love sports especially Football and I am a Linebacker for the BYU Cougars.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this gospel has brought many blessings in my life. This gospel has helped me to be happy on this earth. It has allowed me to become a better person. The thing that I really love about this Gospel and something that I really love about our Savior is the atonement. Without the atonement in my life I wouldn't have a clear vision of my purpose. I have made mistakes in my life but through the atonement and the love of God I am able to change my life and redirect it towards the savior. Also I love my family with all my soul they are my life and I can't imagine life without them. That is why I love the Gospel this Gospel is a Gospel of Families. I want to be able to live with my Family for all eternity!

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by participating in Sunday Services and by serving my mission. Also by just showing love to others and letting them know that I truly care about them and their lives!

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Rylee Gautavai
Our families provide a setting for much of the growth we experience in life. In our families we love, serve, teach, and learn from each other. We share our joys and our sorrows. Family ties may bring us difficult challenges, but they also give us strength and some of our greatest happiness. The family is central to God’s plan for His children. It is also the central unit of society and the means for bringing children into the world where they can be loved, provided for, and taught truth and righteousness (see “The Family: A Proclamation to the World”). While we cannot choose the conditions of our birth, we can choose each day to make our families stronger and happier. It is possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally. I am extremely grateful for my family and I can honestly say no where else have I felt so much love and joy in my life. Families are here on earth to bless us and make us happy. I want to live with my family for all eternity! Show more Show less
