Hi I'm Kelsey

I am a Mormon who never thought I would go on a mission; but here I am and it is the best decision of my life.

About Me

I come from a large family, who has helped teach me the different aspects of the gospel. I play the piano and sing, love cooking and baking, and am very crafty. I love learning about many things, from ancient history to pottery and marine life. Education is important to me, and so are friends and family. Music makes me happy, and helps me to feel closer to my heavenly father and savior Jesus Christ. Whether it is listening to music, singing it, playing it, or helping it along, I love it and it is my passion. I am on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is one of the best decisions that I have made. I love serving the people and the Lord, and look forward to every day. One of my favorite quotes is, "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." I was in college, getting ready to apply to the nursing program to finish up and graduate, when I decided to go on a mission. I was faithful, but never thought I would go on a mission; I didn't think it was 'for me'. I have been proven wrong and was glad for it. It is so rewarding, and I don't think there is anything I could have done that would make me feel like this. I have a little brother on a mission, although I guess he isn't so little, and it makes me so happy to know he is serving the Lord along side me. I love the chance I have to bring others closer to Christ, and will never regret this decision I made.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because the Lord, and my savior Jesus Christ have let me know that this is the right and true church. No other place gives me such a feeling of peace, love, and comfort than the Lord's houses on this earth. I feel the scriptures are true and happened, I feel the love God has for me, and I know he gave me this church so I could return to Him someday. I am a Mormon, because I have found out for myself that it is true, and love the relationship I have with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, through that knowledge.

How I live my faith

I live my faith with the help of my family and ward. My ward is like extended family; they are always there for me, always concerned about and for me, and always looking out for me. I enjoy my ward because I have the opportunity to help participate in many different functions: teaching, ward parties, sacrament musical numbers, leading music. People help me to stay connected, and want to live the gospel, so I can be an example for others to live by.
