Hi I'm Taunalee

I cook. I sing. I sew. I'm a recent college graduate and a new wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southeast Idaho. I'm the youngest of four, and the child of two incredible parents. Against all odds, I have been blessed to experience many exciting adventures in my life, from exploring some of the nation's prized national parks and famous cities, to experiencing some of the lands of my heritage in England, Ireland, Wales, and France. I love life and I love the world we live in. I recently completed my college education, and was able to combine some of my passions of cooking, sewing, literature, and music into one custom degree. I recently married my best friend, and together he and I are embarking on all sorts of new and exciting adventures as husband and wife!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. My parents are Mormon. My grandparents are Mormon. Their parents were Mormon. My line of ancestors who were Mormon go back to beginning of the establishment of our church. I have many ancestors who left their native homes, some of them leaving their families forever, to sail across the sea and join this church. I have ancestors who, despite torment, pain, loss, and terrible persecution, stayed strong in their testimonies of this church. Many of my ancestors walked across the country in the worst conditions imaginable, having left most worldly possessions behind and losing many loved ones along the way, all for the sake of staying with the people who shared their religious beliefs. I have their blood coursing through my veins. And like them, I have an immovable testimony that this church is true. I can never deny it, and, like my loved ones before me, I will stay strong in my faith until my dying day. I believe in Heavenly Father. I believe his Son, Jesus Christ, is the Savior of mankind, and that through His Atonement I can return to live with my Heavenly Father. I believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith. I believe that through Joseph Smith, the true and everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. I believe that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that this church is led by true prophets. I know, that through sacred ordinances, my husband and I have been sealed together as husband and wife for all eternity. I have come to know, through personal prayer, scripture study, and through my life experiences, that this church is true. My faith in this church is immovable. I know that it is true.

How I live my faith

As a new wife and prospective mother my husband and I are preparing ourselves spiritually to be able to provide our future children with the spiritual guidance we were blessed with as children. We attend worship services together on a weekly basis, and we pray together every day. We rely on our communication with our Heavenly Father to help guide us in our daily decisions and trials. As a member of my church, I have to opportunity to serve the women of the ward, by providing them with and helping them find support during trials, and providing a listening ear and helping hand to those who need it.
