Hi I'm Kim

I'm a wife, mother, and grandmother. I am an elementary teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 36 years, am the mother of four children who are all married and raising their own families, and am the grandmother of 10 grandchildren. I am an elementary teacher. I love the outdoors and spending time with my family. I enjoy running and have finished two marathons.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm proud to be a Mormon. I love the light and joy I have in my life as a result of being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My parents were both active members of our church. They taught me about their beliefs as a young child. I searched the scriptures and gained a knowledge of my own that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture and another testament of Jesus Christ, translated through the power of God. The blessings in my life that have come from my study of the Book of Mormon and keeping the commandments have been profound. The value of knowing that our family will be together forever is priceless. I know that my life here on earth has a purpose and that I can experience great growth as I try to do what's right and follow the example of Christ in serving others.

How I live my faith

I have served in my church since I was a teenager. Many of those years I have served with young women ages 12-18. I have spent many years as a leader at our girls camp. I was also a leader for cub scouts and helped my own sons earn their eagles in the Boy Scout program. I have been a leader of our women's organization. One of my assignments for the last 4 decades has been to visit 3 or 4 women on a monthly basis and be their friend and support them in times of need. I currently serve with my husband as a support to new missionaries who come to Provo, Utah for a few weeks to learn a new language prior to going to various places in the world to teach people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
