Hi I'm Holly Tippetts

I am a mother of six children. I love homeschooling and am an artist who loves to travel and have adventures.

About Me

I was raised in California until the teen years and finished school in Utah. I received my Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts emphasizing watercolor. I married my soul mate after his mission and began a 25 year journey so far. Our 6 children are my pride and joy. I made the huge decision to home school when our oldest turned 5. It has turned out to be the best decision ever! I will retire in 7 years and pursue the arts again and travel more with my husband. Moving has been a hobby of ours that we want to put an end to. The military got us in the habit of needing change every 3 years. I love learning about health and wellness and exercising as a family. Hiking is my favorite recreation. I love to read especially Jane Austin. I am a romantic at heart and enjoyed traipsing around castles in Europe while we lived there. I am a bit head strong especially if it has to do with family. I hope to grow older with grace and continue to learn about myself and others. I have to be learning or I feel antsy. My passions right now are making sourdough breads, painting huge murals on doors and continuing the homeschooling journey with my last 3 children. I love being a full time wife and mother. I have no regrets of any kind about the decision to use my degree in my home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have a long history in the church, but I had to find my own conviction and why. I was 15 years old when I went on a pioneer re-enactment activity. It was grueling and hard. It broke down my physical and spiritual walls. I remember being by myself and feeling like God knew me. I never wanted to make a mistake again. I knew I wanted to return to my heavenly home someday. Of course I did make plenty of mistake over the years and came to understand the atonement and the Saviors role in my life. I love Him so much for saving me and all who will let Him. The gospel is so beautiful and comforting. I love knowing that a living prophet is directed by God so that I can be my best and teach my children how to live in this day and age. There are many difficulties now, but none that can not be addressed by living true to the gospel plan. You don't get to my age with out experiencing heart ache and pain. I have seen and felt much, but the Lord has rescued and restored me over and over again. I owe Him all that I am and want to serve Him the rest of my life. Because I have been blessed so much by living the gospel, I wish for everyone to have it too. I have so much hope in eternity and that more than anything helps me to live well each day. Not perfect, but well. I am trying to raise my family with the same conviction and determination to be honorable and steadfast. Truth is so great to stand on.

How I live my faith

I am blessed to come from a family with a long heritage in the LDS faith. I have journals of their testimony's and conviction that helped me become who I am. For many years after marriage I served with the children. I loved the simple stories and music. I now serve with the women of the church in a leadership role. It allows me to see needs and help meet them. There are so many great women out there taking care of families and being examples to me. I love the supportive role the church plays for families. My children have grown up with fantastic youth leaders and mentorship. This is a huge help to parenting well.
