Hi I'm James Tippetts

I am a father of six, have a stunning wife and love to jump out of perfectly good airplanes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up moving around a lot and lived in CA, CO, FL and UT before graduating from high school. I served a mission in Los Angeles, CA, english speaking. I married my sweetheart Holly shortly after getting home and now have 6 great kids, 3 boys and 3 girls. I graduated from Southern Utah University with a degree in Chemistry, Military Science and Math. I served in the Army for 12 years as an Infantry Officer, Ranger, and left the military as a Captain after living in Germany and serving in many different countries. I worked with soldiers from many different countries and cultures and loved getting to know them. I work in sales now, but owned my own company in the past and love a challenge. I have 2 children still at home, 3 children are married and I am a grandpa to 4 of the cutest grandchildren anywhere. I love outdoor activities and find great joy in nature!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family and learned the gospel of Jesus Christ from my parents. Over time, I had the opportunity to study and pray and received my own witness that Jesus is my Savior and that I am a Child of a living Heavenly Father. I know that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is my only hope to return to my loving Father. I love knowing that there is a Prophet of God on the earth to direct me and teach about Christ today. It makes sense to me that God would continue the pattern He established throughout time in revealing His will to His prophets. Having the same organization that Christ established during his ministry testifies to the unchanging nature of our Heavenly Father. Our Father answers prayers and will testify of His will and all truth. I am a Mormon because I have had a witness of God's will and his plan for me. I know my purpose here on the earth. I know where I came from and where I will go after death. I know what I need to do in order to return to my Heavenly Home and re-unite with my Savior and family.

How I live my faith

Our church is run entirely by volunteers so there are always opportunities to serve. I love working with youth and have been a scoutmaster and young men's leader for many years. I am currently working as a missionary leader in my local congregation and love serving with our full time missionaries. I have many opportunities to live my faith each day as I travel and interact with my co-workers and answer their great questions about my beliefs.
