Hi I'm Aubrey

I'm eighteen. I work at the MTC. I go to school at BYU. I am going on my mission to Australia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Freshman at BYU Provo. I love going to concerts. My favorite band is Mayday Parade. My favorite thing to do in the whole world is snowboard. I work at the Missionary Training Center and love it there! I don't know what I am going to major in yet, but I do know that I am leaving on a mission in February. I am going to the Australia Perth Mission and I have never been more excited for anything in my life! I love talking to people. Friends and family mean the world to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, initially, because my parents were born in the church. I have continued to follow this faith and stay with this religion because I love the people in it and the happiness it brings. A lot of the Mormons I know are extremely nice and caring people and I love being around people which such positive outlooks and attitudes on life. I know that I can go to the church and the gospel for any questions I have. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for all of our sins and that if I make any mistakes (which we all do) I can go to him for forgiveness and be clean again. I know that small things such as prayer and scripture study make a huge difference in my life and allow me to go throughout my day with a brighter spirit than I would have if I did not do them. It means so much to me that I have a knowledge of what happens after we die and of our Saviors love for us and of what I need to do in order to live with my father in heaven again. I love this church.

How I live my faith

I am on an activity committee for the women in my young single ward. I love doing service in the church. I go to church every Sunday and I strive to do my best to pray, read scriptures, and write in my journal every night. I believe it's the little things that are the most important. I try to do small random acts of kindness for those around me.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Aubrey
Not all members of the church are required to serve a mission out on the mission field, however, we should all be striving to serve a mission no matter where we are. That mission is to bring others unto Christ. As we strive to share that through our examples, actions, and words wherever we are, we are doing what is right. Show more Show less
