Hi I'm Shelbi

I enjoy running and being outdoors but my true passion is drinking chocolate milk. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am me. I grew up in Arizona and learned to love the sunshine and the heat. I love my family and friends because of all of the good times we had together. They are the most important thing in the world to me. I attended BYU. I dont know what I will end up studying but I know that whatever it is, I want to help others and change lives. But as for now, I am privileged to serve a full time mission in Mexico Tuxtla Gutierrez. I know that this will be one of the greatest adventures of my life and also the only time I can completely devote everything to my Heavenly Father. Adventure is out there!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the peace that comes with the gospel. The gospel does not promise a perfect, happy life without trials, but it does promise a greater understanding of our purpose and peace to overcome the trials that do come. I have learned to accept the trials and enjoy the journey. It is not about the destination but the journey through our life here on earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to others. I hope that when people see me they can see that I am happy and strong in my faith. I hope that they can see that I love Jesus Christ and his principles. I hope that by being a example to others I can show them that true happiness is only possible through the gospel.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is the center of God's plan. It is where our testimonies grow and a place for true doctrine to be taught. In our family we teach, serve, and love one another. A family is eternal and never ending. It is one of the greatest blessings in our lives. Show more Show less
