Hi I'm Tanner

I am a pole vaulter, a musician, a snowboarder, and I love nature! I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am Heading out on a mission for two years to Ukraine, and I will be speaking Russian. I Love to write music and sing along with the guitar. Piano, trumpet, and guitar are my favorite instruments to play, but I will play anything I can get my hands on. I love to snowboard, wakeboard, and longboard. I will be heading out to college once I return from my mission in two years. I love spending time with my friends and family. I played Track in high school and the event I chose to participate in was pole vaulting. I have lived in Utah, Arizona, Washington, and New York. I love to be in nature. It could be hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, you name it! I have worked lots of great jobs in order to earn enough to pay for my mission myself. I mowed over 60 lawns each week, I worked on a farm, taught guitar lessons, and I worked a trampoline park. I love to play sports, especially soccer on a crisp autumn morning. I earned the rank of eagle scout at age 13, and I loved going on different scouting outings in different parts of the wilderness around us. I love life, and I love God!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon. My parents raised me in the church, and though initially I only believed that it was true because I trusted in their faith, I soon grew to understand that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of God upon the earth on my own. I read the Book of Mormon, seeking to understand and know of the truths for myself. I prayed to know if it was true and I received a spiritual witness through the holy ghost that not only was the book true, but so was the church that I attended my whole life. I know that Christ lives and loves us. Joseph Smith is a true prophet who was called by God to restore his gospel in these latter days. through this restoration, then ability for man to act in gods name and with his power and authority, known as his priesthood, has been restored to us. The book of Mormon is true and is a pure witness that Christ lives and loves us. You can learn of yourself that the church is true by reading this book. It, along with the Holy Bible, is a sure witness that the gospel is restored upon the earth, and by reading and seeking light and truth, God will give it to you as he has to me. This is what gives me direction, perspective, and understanding at such a young age. I would urge you to seek out these truths for yourself, for it is God's will and the true path to eternal happiness.

How I live my faith

I attend church service dutifully every week. I will soon depart from all of those that I hold dear so that I may be able serve as a full time missionary for two years so that others may feel of the true joy, happiness, and guidance that the gospel brings. I had a calling or assignment in the ward that I was living in before i left on my mission. I was the first assistant to the bishop, who is the spiritual leader of the ward, and I was in charge of being a leader for the young men in our ward from ages 16 to 18. I follow the teachings of our latter day prophets and I keep the ten commandments. I repent when needed, and I do my best to be an example of someone who follows Jesus Christ in everything that I do. I visit the elderly widows in our ward who are unable to attend service and I administer the sacrament to them, and visit with them. I will go to three different families I have been assigned each month so that I can teach them a lesson about the gospel, and I visit with them and see how I can attend to their needs. I do my best to remember Christ and to keep him centered in my heart at all times, in all things, and in all places.
