Hi I'm Casandra

I am an optimist, a teacher, an outdoor lover and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the favorite aunt I enjoy nature and love to be outside I love the ARTS, music, plays, architecture and paintings I am a fourth grade teacher I grew up as a Mormon and served a full time mission in West Texas

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe it! I believe that my Savior Jesus Christ loves us SO much that he died for each and every one of us. I grew up as a member of the LDS faith but one day had to come to my own knowledge of it's truthfulness. I grew up in an area where there was not many members of my faith and it was constantly questioned and challenged by others. Through my own study of the scriptures attending other churches and prayer I came to know that it was indeed true! I do believe that he wouldn't leave us here on earth alone but that he would give us beacons of light such as prophets and apostles. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God and that Joseph Smith is one of the Lords prophets that has lived on the earth just as Moses and Abraham. I also believe Thomas S. Monson to be the current prophet on the earth. I have seen miracles in my life and in others as I have lived the commandments. Being a Mormon has taught me who I am, a daughter of God and I stand ever grateful for that!

How I live my faith

I love attending church every Sunday. It's a great time to recharge from the long week. Over the years I have had many different assignments where I have had opportunities to serve and teach. Some of my favorites include the opportunity I have had to be involved in serving other women in the church. I did not grow up with sisters so I have greatly enjoyed the unity and sisterhood that comes as we serve one another. I also have enjoyed opportunities to learn more about my ancestors through genealogy work.
